Participaram só quatro xadrezistas que o disputaram no sistema de "Todos contra todos" a duas voltas em jogos de dez minutos que apurou no 1º lugar (com 5,0 pontos)
 

José Roseiro ex-equo com Manuel Madelino, muito mais experientes que Dinis Apura e Daniel Bispo terminando ambos ex-equo no 3º lugar (com 1,0 ponto). Muito bem !

Sporting C.Abrantes: Torneio de Natal

O Sporting Clube de Abrantes realizou a 21ª edição do torneio do Natal a 22.12.2013 das 20.30 às 23.30 horas.

Participaram onze xadrezistas que disputaram o torneio no Sistema Suíço em 05 sessôes em jogos de 10 minutos que apurou no 1º lugar (com 4,0 pontos) Paulo Marçal ex-equo com Emídio Direito e Gonçalo Rosa Santos  pois curiosamente perderam todos uns com os outros;
Penosa foi a derrota de Gonçalo Rosa Santos na última sessão perante Emídio Direito deixando fugir a vitória, favorecendo Paulo Marçal um veterano da velha guarda !

 

O mais novo de todos, Daniel Bispo (Sub.08), não se assustou e jogou no meio daqueles grandalhões todos. Isso é que é fibra !

Gymnasiade 2013: Luís Ferreira e Mariana Silva foram ao pódio

 

Realizou-se no Brasil a Gymnasiade 2013 - Jogos Mundiais Escolares. 

Este evento teve lugar de 28 de Novembro a 3 de Dezembro em Brasília. 

É um evento que se realiza de 4 em 4 anos e é organizado pela Federação Internacional de Desporto Escolar. 

Este evento juntou 8 modalidades diferentes, incluindo o Xadrez.

O evento teve a participação de cerca de 40 países, num total de mais de 1200 jovens estudantes-atletas, entre os quais 4 xadrezistas portugueses seleccionados pelo Desporto Escolar: 

• Inês Mendes (Colégio S. João de Brito / Sporting Clube de Portugal)
• João Vicente (Instituto Pedro Hispano - Soure)
• Luís Ferreira (ES Lourinhã / Sporting Clube Portugal) 
• Mariana Silva (EB de Tadim / AAD-NXVSC)

Uma competição que supreendemente teve muitos poucos participantes, com apenas 7 jogadores na competição absoluta e 5 na competição feminina.

No final das 7 e 5 rondas, respetivamente, os resultados positivos sorriram a Portugal, tendo sido conquistados dois 3ºs lugares pelo Luís Ferreira na competição absoluta e pela Mariana Silva na competição feminina.
