Vassily Ivanchuk ganhou o torneio dos Reis em Bazna após empatar rapidamente contra Radjabov na ultima ronda (ronda 10). Acabou com 7 em 10 pontos.

Shirov encerrou a sua participação neste torneio com uma bonita vitória sobre Nisipeanu.

Now it has become clear how strong the sacrifice reallty was - Black is in big trouble. If you wonder why we amateurs never get to play such exchange sacrifices, the answer is probably because we just don't have the guts!

Shirov decides the game as elegantly as he has played it thus far.

In a lost position and with less than a minute on the clock, all Nisipeanu could do was try to make it to 40 and then see how it looks like...
